Koji Tamaki and his band have had big influence upon music in Hong Kong and Taiwan, especially in the 1980s. Many of their songs were covered by singers in those two places into Cantonese and Mandarin versions. The song "夢のつづき", for instance, has at least three cover versions sung by Jacky Cheung of Hong Kong and Cyndi Chaw of Taiwan. Here the song I choose to play is called "月半弯", Jacky Cheung's version. Enjoy!
The following video clip is what I would recommend to my friends as perhaps my most favorite Japanese song. Its title "悲しみにさよなら" can be translated as "Say Goodbye to Sadness" in English. Whenever I feel drowned in sorrow, this song pops out in my mind. A great song that sends everybody a message reading "Don't worry, be happy"!
